The jungspund Festival will open with «The Teachers’ Room – A Passion», the most recent production of the Vorstadttheater Basel, which was created as a co-production with the Festival. A further co-production, hosted by the Lausanne Cie Philippe Saire, is the magically playful dance performance «Hocus Pocus», a visual experience in between dance, theater, and installation.
In addition, two premieres will be celebrated at the Festival: «One, Two, Three, Over» by the FigurenTheater St.Gallen reveals the eternal cycle of life in beautifully poetic images. «Robbers’ Hands» – a youth production of the Theater St.Gallen – tells the story of two friends in search of friendship, love, and identity. Also not to be missed are eight further stories, which are exciting, poetic, dramatic as well as quirky, characterized by fantasy, contemporary issues, and artistic diversity.
The Festival center at Lokremise with its café and bar is open daily, offering food and drink and inviting encounters, discussions, congregation, and celebrations. At the Tauschkiosk à Gogo (Exchange Kiosk à Gogo), visitors can practice haggling. The Jungspundband provides music under the direction of theater musician Andi Peter with various project formats. Additionally, the fringe program offers various workshops, music, and artist talks.
